Witches in Progress

I would say this will be the last round of witches for the season, but then again, I let the clay tell me what it wants to be and almost everything I touch turns into an ugly old witch so we'll see!

This witch (that looks like the Alice Cooper Ben Franklin love child) took a tumble off the table last night as I was giving her a color wash and her legs broke. Well, that answered the question of how durable the wooden legs with plaster cloth are! So you can see from her pic that I've chopped her legs down and she has shrunk. That's okay! Little fat legs suit her better!
This witch is another "scrap witch" from left-over Apoxie Sculpt that I was using to make a hat for another one of my witches.

This guy looks a LOT like Ichabod Crane to me. I may explore that idea further or just make him into something else. I haven't decided yet.... This is the first work I've done with Polymer Clay in a LONG time. My hubby got another "guy" movie last night and wanted me to sit on the couch with him so I grabbed some polymer and made faces.

And finally, I LOVE this one. She hopefully will be finished today. Can you see the little bug on top of her hat? I also strengthened her legs after the other witch had her terrible accident.

See you tomorrow!

Renee :)

These are wonderful! I'm sorry to hear about poor witchie's accident, but you are right, short legs suit her better!
And the polymer face you did came out really, really good! What kind of body will it have?
I can't wait to see them all finished!
Take care!

wow, wow. Looooving your witches, and doesn't she look great with her little stumpy legs, and that tutu skirt.
Love your description of her, made me laugh out loud

Truly funky witch! In the UK she'd be called a lollypop lady witch (helps children cross the Road.

Lollypop lady witch? I've never heard of that but I like it! My witch eats children... especially little fat ones!
