Wine Cork Art Doll in Progress

I had made this head from polymer clay a couple of weeks ago and I just didn't know what to do with her... So I decided to make a neat little wine cork doll. Her legs, arms, hands, and feet are apoxie sculpt. Although I want to cover that wire on her arms and legs with something, I want to make sure she can still move and be posed. I believe in using what you have to make art so I LOVE putting all my wine corks to good use.

I love little art dolls and I wanted to make one that was a little more girly than most of my ugly old witches or whimsical elves. I'm far from finished with her and I'm still not sure how I want to finish her body or how I can justify that dirty face that I painted on her... maybe she'll be a little dark angel or something... hmmm....

See you tomorrow :)

Very Cute. I bet the corks are perfect size for ornaments. I think me and my little man will make some during thanksgiving. He has named his lion Goldie. He says he is a very nice lion but does not like the witch.

Okay, I'm a dork...i thought you were making a wine stopper with her. LOL Hey, it's early on a Monday morning...I'm allowed to be a ditz sometimes.

She's cute...I just wonder what you're gonna do with her "dirty" face. Chimney sweep? lol

Peace & Love,

i love the idea you create a doll with having no idea at the onset what is going to come out! i see others drawing a likeness and then producing it in 3 D but i have never been able to do that. guess that's called by the seat of my pants!love your dolls.

Susan, I've only done that once (drew it first) but it was a very simple doll. I don't enjoy sketching so I like surprising myself by what I make!

Sha-Marie, tell him that is OK! I don't like witches either... that's why I make them and then kick them out (I'm afraid of their spells....)

The best of both worlds Renee...you can make these cuties AND drink the wine to supply the corks!!
